Kofi Gyaame: World Toilet Day Marked at KofiGyaame

Today marks WORLD TOILET DAY!!!
In commemoration of the day, the Akrofuom District Assembly held a durbar at Kofigyame in the Grumesa electoral area of the Assembly to educate the public on the need for every household to own a toilet.
Hon. Maurice Jonas Woode the District Chief Executive, announced that in a bid to make all households own a toilet, the Assembly has made it a policy that all households have a toilet in their building. This is to reduce the number of households without toilets in the district.
He added that the Assembly is also building toilet facilities in almost all communities in the district to ensure that the public have good places of convenience.  He mentioned communities like Nkoransah, Aboagyekrom, Takyikrom, Akrofuom, Manukrom, Okyerekrom and Kubi as communities which are benefitting from toilets being constructed by the Assembly.
For his part the District Coordinating Director, Mr. Ebenezer D. Ntiamoah added that the Assembly will also ensure that the Assembly achieves the Millennium Development Goals by promoting good sanitation district wide.
