The Assembly at a very colourful ceremony, this morning launched the equipment for the District Road Improvement Program at Akrofuom.
The DRIP equipment have been provided by the NPP government to make roads in the district very motorable for drivers and other commuters in the district.
The Member of Parliament, Hon. Alex Blankson and the District Chief Executive, Hon. Dr. Maurice Jonas Woode both assured the public that they will ensure that the equipment are used purposely for the reasons they have been brought into the district.
They expressed optimism that the arrival of the equipment in the district will help address the issue of bad roads in the district and it also shows the commitment of the government in addressing the poor roads in the district.
Hon. Woode again assured that soon contractors working on the Akrofuom to Sikaman road will soon be on site and called for the support of all stakeholders in the district.
The chairman of the event, Nana Asare Bediako also praised the government for the equipment and applauded the efforts of the MP and the DCE in the district.
