PROFILE OF DCE
(HON. MAURICE JONAS WOODE)
Hon Maurice Jonas Woode is the first District Chief Executive of the Akrofuom District Assembly.
He is a renowned tax expert who had worked with the Ghana Revenue Authority for twenty-eight years rising to the position of Administrator before resigning to take up his new role.
He is a son of the soil and has been in service to the people of Akrofuom since 2002 serving in various capacities.
He was elected as the Assemblyman for Nana Okai electoral area in 2002 and served till 2010.
Due to his exceptional abilities in the discharge of his duties, he was elected by his fellow Assembly members as the Presiding Member from 2006 – 2010 for the Adansi South District Assembly. Before the split of the Akrofuom District Assembly from Adansi South District, Hon Woode served as the Presiding Member from February 2017 to March 2018.
Again he was the first Presiding Member of the Akrofuom District Assembly before his nomination and subsequently his endorsement making him the first District Chief Executive for the District on 31st July, 2018.
After the expiration of his first term, he was renominated by the President, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo after the first nominee failed to garner the required number of votes to be made the substantive DCE for the District.
Thus on 1st October, 2021, Hon Maurice Jonas Woode was again re-endorsed by the Assembly members as the DCE for Akrofuom District.
Academically, Hon. Woode holds a Phd in Business Aministration and Management from Institut Universitaire La Grace of Benin, a Professional Certificate from the Chartered Institute of Management and Leadership, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Leadership and Governance of the United States of America; holds a Licentiate Certificate from Chartered Institute of Administrators and Management Consultants, Ghana; an MBA in Human Resource and Organisational Behaviour from University of Education Winneba; a Professional Certificate in Marketing from Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK) and GCE/SC O’Level from Obuasi Senior High and Technical School, Obuasi Ghana.
Politically, Hon Woode has been a staunch member and the longest serving executive member of the New Patriotic Party in the Akrofuom Constituency.
He was the constituency secretary from May 2004 to July 2018.


PROFILE OF MP
(HON. ALEX BLANKSON)
Hon. Alex Blankson is the second Member of Parliament for the Akrofuom constituency since it’s creation having won the Parliamentary elections in 2020.
He succeeds, Hon. Kwabena Appiah-Pinkrah, making him the Member of Parliament for the Akrofuom constituency in the Eight Parliament of the Fourth Republic
Hon Blankson is a Forty (40) year old man and a native of Adansi Akrofuom with the passion to see the youth of the constituency equipped, to fit into every sphere of life.
Hon Blankson is a product of Adisadel College and currently a student of Ghana Communication Technology University at Tesano in Accra.
He is also the chief executive officer of Day by Day Healthcare Limited at Takoradi.
At Parliament he is also serving on various committees. He is serving on the Youth, Sports and Culture; and the Special Budget Committees.
COORDINATING DIRECTOR – MR. EBENEZER DOUGLAS NTIAMOAH
Mr. Ebenezer Douglas Ntiamoah is the second District Coordinating Director of the Akrofuom District Assembly having taken over from Mr. Stephen N. A. Asante who retired in 2020. Hitherto, Mr. Ntiamoah was the District Planning Officer of the Assembly.
He hails from Asante Mampong in the Ashanti Region and a graduate of the University of Development Studies at Wa and the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) also at Kumasi.
Mr Ntiamoah has garnered so much experience in the Local Government Service having served in many districts in the country. His journey in the Local Government Service started from Mampong Ashanti as an Assistant Planning Officer in 2004, then posted to Sekyere Central in 2008 to to begin the new District. He was againposted to the Atwima Nwabiagya District Assembly before finally ending up at Akrofuom District Assembly in 2018 as the District Planning Officer.
Mr. Ntiamoah has a cordial relationship with all the staff of the Assembly and like his boss; development of the district is topmost on their agenda list.
